Anne Vasquez

Anne Vasquez is a media executive and journalist who has overseen content strategy for multiplatform brands that reach millions. She left the digital side of the newspaper business to join the nonprofit organization and newsroom EdSource, where she recently was named its CEO/Executive Director. Prior to joining EdSource, Anne was an executive at Tribune Publishing, where she most recently served as Senior Vice President of Strategic Initiatives and Chief Digital Officer. She previously was the Managing Editor of the South Florida Sun Sentinel when the newsroom won its first Pulitzer Prize, the Gold Medal for Public Service. Anne began her career as a reporter at The Miami Herald, San Jose Mercury News and The Boston Globe. She has been a passionate champion of diversity and inclusion in media, early in her career as the editor of one of the country’s first race & demographics teams and later as an executive. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband, two children and beagle.
