Glenn Sanford is the CEO and founder of eXp World Holdings (Nasdaq: EXPI), the holding company for eXp Realty, Virbela, and SUCCESS Enterprises. He is also Chief Strategy Officer at Virbela, a virtual world platform for remote work, learning, and events that was acquired by eXp in 2018. In late 2020 Glenn purchased SUCCESS, a brand dedicated to personal and professional development, where he serves as the company’s CEO.
A serial entrepreneur, Glenn was involved in a number of internet startup companies in the 1990s and early 2000s before starting a successful real estate career in 2002. During the economic downturn that began in 2007, Glenn saw an opportunity to move real estate operations online and pioneered the industry’s first cloud-based brokerage with no brick-and-mortar operations, known today as eXp Realty. What started with just 25 agents has grown into one of the fastest-growing real estate tech companies in the world with more than 62,000 agents in the U.S., Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, South Africa, India, Mexico, Portugal, France, Puerto Rico, Brazil, Italy, Hong Kong, Colombia, Spain, Israel, Panama, and Germany.
Over the last decade, Glenn has built a multibillion-dollar business with every employee working from a virtual office. In 2016, as eXp Realty continued to grow, Glenn was in search of a solution to scale the organization while improving communications for his remote workforce. He turned to Virbela’s virtual world platform to build an immersive 3D environment that is deeply social and collaborative, enabling staff and agents to be more connected and productive. eXp Realty has been named to Glassdoor’s Best Places to Work list for four consecutive years, and now part of eXp World Holdings, Virbela powers hundreds of other organizations around the world.
