Julia is a multi-faceted television writer/creator with a knack for both comedy and drama. Currently, she serves as the Executive Story Editor on MR. IGLESIAS for Netflix. A graduate of the ABC/Disney Writing Program, Julia’s passion for TV writing grew from creating and starring in EAST WILLYB, an innovative web series which the NY Times called the “Latino show for a new generation.” Most recently, Julia developed the series for television at ABC/ABC Studios. A graduate of Brown University, Julia cut her teeth as an actress in the lucrative world of New York’s off (off) Broadway theater. Influenced by her “mutt” identity and nontraditional upbringing, Julia’s love of storytelling is fueled by her once-in-a-lifetime experiences: she lived in Chile during the country’s first democratic elections; studied singing at the prestigious “Fame” high school; toured internationally with her one-woman show; and once spoke with Fidel Castro.
